**JOB PURPOSE**
The Chronic and Infectious Disease team provide technical, strategic, programmatic, and clinical support to OCA field missions and headquarters, and contribute to the delivery of OCA’s long-term goals in the domain of Implementation of programmes for chronic diseases including:
- Provision of high-quality implementation support for context-adapted medical and operational strategies
- Contribute to the updating of the MSF intersectional policies, strategic frameworks, guidelines
**JOB PURPOSE**
The Chronic and Infectious Disease team provide technical, strategic, programmatic, and clinical support to OCA field missions and headquarters, and contribute to the delivery of OCA’s long-term goals in the domain of Implementation of programmes for chronic diseases including:
- Provision of high-quality implementation support for context-adapted medical and operational strategies
- Contribute to the updating of the MSF intersectional policies, strategic frameworks, guidelines, and advocacy for chronic and Infectious diseases with the priority being Non-Communicable Diseases, HIV, Tuberculosis including drug-resistant and Hepatitis.
**DIMENSIONS**
- Supports training and mentoring of field team members to implement revised health programming and strategic direction while supporting them to ensure quality.
- Supports MSF's wider agenda through developing and influencing key relationships within the MSF movement and externally on health programmes.
- Resolves complex clinical issues taking into account risks and benefits for patients and OCA anticipating long term consequences of change and future trends.
- Responsibility to support research projects and dissemination of these.
- Contributes to the development of MSF chronic and infectious disease activities ensuring these are translated into operational field team plans and objectives, this includes the contribution and formulation of country annual plans.
**Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri**
**Duration: Fixed Term - 14 months - Maternity Cover**
**Location: London - hybrid, 2 days per week in office (including Wednesdays)**
**Salary: £61,531.29 - £75,204.91 per annum |** *Salary is offered in line with our pay framework and typically starts at the entry point of the band. Salary increases are considered annually and are subject to our appraisal and performance review process.*
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Medical doctor with demonstrable post graduate experience.
- Valid registration with a relevant professional body.
- Demonstrable chronic and general clinical knowledge and experience in humanitarian settings.
- Experience in managing and implementation of chronic care health programming.
- Proven experience of working independently under minimal supervision.
- Demonstrable experience of working and constructively participating in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
- Experience in teaching and coaching.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Networking and representation skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior operational management, national authorities, and other international organisations.
- Demonstrable organisational and communication skills, including attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous experience working in lower- and middle-income settings.
- Experience in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer.
