About the Position

The Finance Officer, reporting to the Finance Manager, will provide support in high-impact financial management, ensure donor compliance and risk management across the MMC Hub, proactively identifying opportunities to improve service.

Some of the main responsibilities of the financial manager are:
Commit to high-quality work within the MCC Hub and radar countries, taking on finance-related tasks that support financial management across the MMC Hub.
Manage financial transactions across multiple bank accounts and currencies in the region, critically reflecting on existing processes in providing coherent and consistent financial information.
Foster a team mindset across MCC by assisting in financial oversight, reporting to donors, and compliance with multi-country programs.
Support the financial capacity building initiatives of MCC partners and radar countries, understanding their prospects for better results and building relationships based on trust and transparency.
Commit to high-value work, in accordance with institutional donor financial standards across multiple programs.
Collaborate with finance teams in other countries to standardize financial processes and ensure consistency in their application.
About You

Who we are looking for

Essential requirements:
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Public Accountant graduated in Colombia (Professional Card required).
Significant experience in financial accounting procedures, drafting and reviewing financial reports, creating and monitoring budgets.
Demonstrable experience in delivering financial education using different methodologies.
Experience using word processing and Excel packages, as well as other accounting reporting tools.
Analytical ability developed to interpret financial information and investigate discrepancies.
Desirable:
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is an asset, but not essential.
Knowledge of the different requirements of donors.
Knowledge of local partners/NGOs and development.
Experience in managing the accounting of institutional donor funds.
Experience in the use of financial reporting software tools.
