**The Role**

The Inclusion Coordinator will support the integration of gender equality, disability equity, and social inclusion (inclusive of LGBTQIA+ and First Nations) across Pacific Australia Skills PNG by operationalizing the Pacific Australia Skills Regional Inclusion Strategy in PNG. The role will work closely with the Regional Pacific Australia Skills Inclusion Lead and support the MEL Coordinator to ensure gender, disability equity and social inclusion are embedded within MEL systems and reporting and support the Country Director to ensure GEDSI is incorporated into annual work plans under the PNG Country Plan. To support enhanced skills across Pacific Australia Skills PNG, the role will facilitate professional development in inclusion approaches for Pacific Australia Skills PNG staff and other stakeholders in PNG. The role will support the communications coordinator to produce products which demonstrate inclusion practices.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

- Consult with Pacific Australia Skills PNG staff and stakeholders and Regional Pacific Australia Skills Inclusion Lead to develop an Inclusion Action Plan for Pacific Australia Skills PNG.
- Support the Inclusion Lead to implement and review the Inclusion Strategy and implementation plan and participate in the regional community of practice.
- Work with Pacific Australia Skills PNG staff and stakeholders and the Regional Inclusion Lead to implement monitor and review the PNG Inclusion Action Plan (aligned with the Pacific Australia Skills Inclusion Strategy).
- Undertake research and literature reviews to inform advice and approaches to mainstreaming inclusion across Pacific Australia Skills PNG, as well as the PNG management and operations.
- Facilitate and lead inclusion professional development training for Pacific Australia Skills PNG staff and stakeholders.
- Support women, people with disability and youth leadership in the PNG skills sector through establishing mentorship and accompaniment programs and/or establishing a community of practice.
- Support the communications coordinator to develop communication, public diplomacy and advocacy products which demonstrate practices which enable gender equality, disability equity, rights and inclusion, to shift norms.
- Facilitate and coordinate partnerships with gender equality, disability equity, LGBTQIA+ and First nations organizations across PNG.
- Contribute to developing harmonious working relationships with AHC, colleagues and key stakeholders, and assist to build the profile and reputation of Pacific Australia Skills as a high performing support program in PNG.

**Selection Criteria**

**Essential Experience and Knowledge**

- Tertiary qualifications in gender, international development, social sciences, or another relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role preferably in PNG.
- Extensive experience in gender equality, disability equity and social inclusion policy, advisory or programming.
- Demonstrated understanding of development challenges related to inclusion and how they apply in PNG and knowledge of DFAT priorities is preferable.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and coordination skills.
- Understanding of and commitment to Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Child Protection, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), prevention of human trafficking, environmental protection, anti-corruption and other DFAT safeguarding policies.
